SCOP - Student Chapter of Optics Paris - is a student scientific association founded in summer 2011 by unifying the SPIE student chapters of l'Ecole Polytechnique and the OSA chapter from the Institut d'Optique Graduate School & the ESPCI.

 

Its objectives are:

  • promoting optical sciences and engineering through the organization of scientific events
  • helping undergraduate students initiate doctoral studies in these fields,
  • enhancing the quality of optics student life through the promotion of student community, student education and industrial contact.

This association is strongly supported by and in partnership with the Optical Society of America (OSA), the Internationnal Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE), the European Optical Society (EOS) and Physical Society (EPS) and the French Optical Society (SFO).

We are opened to students member of any of these partner.
